Part-Time Music Therapist

Start Date: July/August 2025

Location: Winchester, V A and surrounding areas

Schedule: Part-time (hours to be discussed)

Position Summary

The music therapist will:

Provide music therapy services to individuals and groups in clinical and community settings
Collaborate with families, caregivers, and care teams as needed
Participate in regular supervision and team check-ins
Support other programs, events, and projects as discussed and agreed upon with the supervisor

This is a W-2 employee position with mileage reimbursement and administrative support. Opportunities for growth and leadership may be available over time.

Required Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree (or equivalency) from an AMTA-approved program
MT-BC certification (or exam eligibility)
Reliable transportation
Strong communication and organizational skills
Ability to work independently and collaboratively
Experience with both children and adults preferred

Preferred Qualifications

Community-based or outpatient clinical experience
Interest in program development or creative collaboration
Comfort navigating diverse client needs
